Mrs. Wynell H. Pillars passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, October 3, 2025. A native of Santa Rosa County, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Coralee Kight Harris.

She loved sewing, reading, and, more recently, spending time doing word searches and playing iPhone games that kept her sharp. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with her growing family, especially welcoming her new great-grandchildren. A special highlight of her last year was a memorable road trip to Virginia with her granddaughter Lyndsey to visit loved ones. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Doyle Harris and a daughter, Rhonda Kersey, Granddaughter Ashley Gassman

Mrs. Pillars is survived by her children, Susan McCollum (Gary), Cindy Stanley (Scott), James Pillars , Steven Pillars (Shannon); brother, Don Harris (Geri); sisters, Wanda Tillotson (George) and Linda Baker; Sister in Law, Linda Faye Harris; grandchildren, Bradley and Brian McCollum, Brandon Cooper, Taylor Oldham, Lyndsey and Ryan Gassman, Kortney Lee, Stephanie Reid, Skylar Riley, Kyle and Kory Pillars, Kamryn, and Kolby Pillars, Maylaina Harrell, Melanie Harrell; great grandchildren, Stevie and Van Oldham, Khalin and Khylie Lee, Colter Reid, Rosemary Riley, Kallahan, Keller, Kollyn, and Kholsen Pillars, and Kenna Pillars.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pillars will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robbie O'Brien officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour before services (10:00-11:00 A.M.) at the funeral home.
