IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Timothy
Watts, Iii
May 28, 1949 – June 16, 2023
William Timothy Watts III, of Lake City, passed away peacefully at home on Friday June 16, 2023. Born May 28, 1949 in Live Oak, FL, he was the son of the late William Timothy Watts and Lela Mae McCall. Known to his friends and loved ones as Willie or Sonny, Willie spent most of his life here in Lake City but did spend a few years living in Smith Station, Alabama. A carpenter by trade, Willie was quite the handyman and was often known for his intricate birdhouses he built. Although Willie had no children of his own, he did have a fortress of nieces and nephews that always looked up to the fun-loving bearded man they got the blessing of calling Uncle Willie. Willie loved NASCAR and could be found at anytime of the day watching re-runs of one of the races. He would also argue until he was blue in the face that Kyle Busch was the best driver around! Willie is preceded in death by one sister, Nell Emmelhainz and one brother, Donald Marvin Watts. Willie is survived by one brother, John Edward Watts and two sisters, Katholyene (Charles) Carey and Lela Brown. A private celebration of life will be set at a later date for family and friends.
