William Carl Myers Jr, age 13, of Lake City, Florida passed away at home surrounded by his family, on Thursday, May 2, 2024 after a long illness. He was born in Lake City on October 3rd, 2010 to William & Jessica Myers. William was a 7th grade honor student at Belmont Academy.  Since 2015, he played multiple seasons of baseball with Lake City Youth Baseball, Lake City Allstars, and travel baseball with the Naturals out of Gainesville. He also played multiple seasons of basketball and football and attended City Church Youth. His passions were baseball, fishing, travel, building Legos, and gaming with friends, and he had a love for multiple music genres.  He was a true athlete with an outstanding faith in God. He cared deeply for his family and friends and will be greatly missed by many!

He is survived by his parents of Lake City, his brother Isaac Myers of Jacksonville, FL, brothers Andrew Myers, and Aaron Myers, also of Lake City, his grandparents Bradley & Kathryn Bauer of High Springs, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his grandparents Charles & Marilee Myers, also of Lake City.

A private burial service for William will be conducted on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life open to the public will be held at Christian Fellowship Church, 5037 SW County Rd 240, Lake City, FL 32024 on Saturday, May 25th, starting at 1:00 PM.
