William Daniel McDuffie, Sr.

William Daniel McDuffie Sr. passed away on Friday August 14,2026 at North Florida Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

William was a Vietnam Vetran and a long-haul truck driver. William was born to Hiram and Lois McDuffie on January 29, 1951, and spent most of his life in Apopka, Florida. William moved to Old Town several years ago and has been a long-time resident of Dixie County since then.

William is survived by his wife Terry Allen. He was also the loving father of eight children; Cathy Carter, William McDuffie Jr, Denny McDuffie, Cynthia Corbett, Connie Murray, Benjamin Allen, Jennifer Allen, and Lacy Allen. William was the grandfather to nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

William was greatly loved and will be missed by all his loved ones. We gather comfort in knowing that he is in the arms of his Heavenly Father and surrounded by his family that has passed before him.
