William "Bill" Joseph Morgan, 74 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at his home in Lake City.  Bill was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida to the late Joseph Morgan and Glendora Newbury Morgan.  He made his home in the Lake City area since 1997 having moved here from Fort Pierce.  Bill served in the United States Army, was a member of the American Legion and retired from the Lake City VA.  He owned and operated Morgan's Country Market in Fort Pierce prior to relocating to Lake City.  Bill loved his dogs, watching football and spending time mowing.  He took great pride in building all his homes, his business and was admired for his knowledge and sense of humor. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, William Scott Morgan.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Brenda Coppersmith Morgan, Lake City; his children, Kelly Rogers (Baccer), Lake City, Angela Wooten, Wellborn and Brian Carter (Dee), Wellborn; six grandchildren, Blaine and Olivia Rogers, Jessica Wooten, Megan Denno (Justin) and Cole and Taylor Carter; and four great grandchildren.
