William Paul "Frog" Melton, 58 of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 surrounded by his Fiance' and family and peacefully moved on to this next journey. He was a force of nature who lived life with Love, grace, humor, unwavering kindness.
Those who knew FROG will remember them most for his hard work and dedicated family love. Whether they were hunting, tending to his garden, sharing a home-cooked meal or singing along to "Conway Twitty", he brought a unique light to everyone around him. His legacy of strength and love will live on through his family and the many lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie G. Melton and Nancy Graddy Melton, and his wife, Christine Bond.
FROG is deeply missed by his Fiancé, Patty Pearce; children, Melissa Rowe, Deanna Cochran, Dylan Blakely, & Hayden Melton; stepchildren, Troy Oliver Jr., Nichole Oliver, Robbie Vaughn, & Walter Jenkins; grandchildren, Diamond Rowe and Derek Rowe Jr.; siblings, Thomas & Libby Ivey, Willie Gene Jr. & Tammy Melton, Bert & Terri Melton, Donald Melton, Bobby Joe Melton, Brenda Ivey, Nancy Ivey/Lavern Johns and Joann Richards; a host of nieces and nephews along with his best friend Lowell King and a community of friends who became family.
A Celebration of Frog's life will be held at a later date.
