Obituary

William Michel Farrar, 78, of Fort White, passed away peacefully at his home early Thursday morning, May 27, 2021 after an extended illness. He was born in Coral Gables, FL on November 21, 1942 to the late Ernest Stephen Farrar and Willie Perry Farrar. He and his wife have made Fort White their home for the last 3 ½ years, moving here from the Ft. Myers area. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served some time in Vietnam and retiring from the Air Force after 20 years of Honorable Service. He loved to fly, and teaching people how to fly. He recently had the opportunity to fly again several days prior to his passing and even made the paper with his flight. He also enjoyed fishing as well. He is preceded in death by one brother.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Sherrell Farrar of Fort White; sons, Michael Lee Farrar of Port Charlotte and William Stephen Farrar (Victoria) of Fort White; daughter, Lisa Lynn Farrar of Fort White; special granddaughter, Emily Kate Farrar along with other numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one sister also survive.

A Celebration of Mr. Farrar's life will be conducted on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 12 Noon in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12 Noon prior to the services.
