Wendy Marker, 63, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, October 9, 2022 at the Palms Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. She was born in Brooksville, Florida on September 21, 1959 and has spent most of her life between the Brooksville and Lake City area. She worked as a Jeweler for many years; she co-owned Lady Goldsmith Jewelry in Lake City and was known for repairing and making many custom pieces of jewelry. She also worked in Landscaping for a few years as well. In her spare time, she enjoyed nature, wildlife, reading, loved animals, going to the river and cruising on the boat as well as fishing. She was a widow of a Vietnam Veteran, and loved supporting the local Veterans. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Marker; her step-father, George F. "Jeff" LeClerc and her brother, Allan Dale Sims.
She is survived by her mother, Josephine LeClerc of Lake City; her brother, Thomas J. "TJ" Sims (Linda) of Orange Park; sisters, Sherry Snipes (George) and January Vaughn (James) both of Fort White. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Marker will be conducted on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
