Wayne Norris, 70, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born in Columbia County on July 27, 1955 to the late Nathan Norris and Maude Wheeler Norris. He has made Lake City his home all of his life and was a member of the Lantern Park Baptist Church. He worked for over 30 years with the Commercial Roof Deck Company in Jacksonville until they closed; then went to work for PCS in White Springs for 16 years before retiring. In his spare time, he loved hunting, enjoyed tending to his chickens and animals; but more especially, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Joe and Eulee Norris; and his sister, Judy Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann Norris of Lake City; son, Tobias Norris (Sherri Sandage) of Lake City; daughter, Kristin Hadley (Chris) of Lake City; grandchildren, Haley Morgan and Kinsley Hadley; and two great-grandchildren, Millie Morgan Lanza and Mason Morgan Lanza all of Lake City also survive.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Norris will be conducted on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Lantern Park Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan Monroe Officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M., prior to the service at the church.
