Wanda C. Green, 83, of Lake City, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Shands Lake Shore Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Melvin and Weeta "Robinson" Carver and had lived in Columbia County for most of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother who loved camping, swimming, fishing, and devoting her time to her family. She had a passion for flowers and had owned Green's House of Flowers in Live Oak for over 20 years.
Survivors include her sons, Alvin (Robin) Green, Wylan Green, and Greg Green; daughters, Linda (Bo) Waldron, Debra McCoy, and Jackie (Bud) Espenship; brother, Warren (Carolyn) Carver; best friend and sister, Esther (Dewitt) Staats; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; her close companion and love of her life dog, Chico.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday; March 8, 2014 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Live Oak, Florida. Visitation with the family will be held Friday evening March 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
