Walter Herman "Johnny" Statham, 61, of Lake City, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Friday, August 22, 2025. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Walter Hollis Statham and Barbara Frances Roberts Statham on October 20, 1963. He has made the Lake Butler and Lake City area his home most of his life and worked for a number of years with Homes of Merit in Lake City as well as the Target Warehouse in Lake City. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football, watching NASCAR and fishing; he was also of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Cynthia Royals, Susan Kirby, Debra Rose and Belinda Fryant.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jackie Statham of Lake City; sons, Jonathan Statham (Elena) of Jupiter, Joseph Harmon of Wellborn, Shawn Harmon and Zachary Harmon both of Lake City; daughter, Shelby Statham of Alabama; and his five sisters, Wanda Barba, Sheila Bennefield, Sandra Johns, Elizabeth Kincaid and Tammy Campbell. Eight grandchildren, Aidan Harmon, Gage Harmon, Landon Harmon, Trevor Harmon, Liam Harmon, Kolten Harmon, Jayden Rigsby and Madelyn Statham also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Statham will be conducted on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Burl Harkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Memorial Cemetery in Madison County. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
