Walter Samuel McAdams, 86, of Lake City, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 20, 2021 after an extended illness. He was born in Plainview, Texas on April 27, 1934 to the late Joseph Bailey McAdams and Bernice Butt McAdams. He and his family made Lake City his home since 1964 and was a member of the Lake City Christian Church. He worked as an Electrical Engineer with Occidental Corporation for over 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed raising Boxers, playing poker with his family, fishing, hunting and collecting guns. He was a member of the NRA for over 40 years and was very involved over the years in little league sports. He is preceded in death by his son, Maury McAdams; brother, Joe Bailey McAdams, Jr.; sisters, Dolores Barrier and Beth Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shea McAdams of Lake City; sons, Sam McAdams (Marcia) and Chris McAdams (Rosanna) both of Lake City. Three grandchildren, Bryan McAdams, Samantha McAdams and Stormi McAdams and three great-grandchildren, Skylar Munroe, Tyler Munroe and Savannah Derringer also survive.

Private family graveside services for Mr. McAdams will be conducted on Friday, January 22, 2021 with Pastor Seth Byrd officiating. Interment will follow.
