Wallace "Wally" William Powell

Mr. Wallace “Wally” William Powell, 68, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, following an extended illness at the Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice). He is preceded in death by his parents, William Waldrep and Sandra Moore, and Stewart Powell. Two brothers, Charles Russell Powell and Curtis Waldrep. He had made his home in Mayo, FL, for the past twenty- eight years after moving from Palm Beach County, FL. He was a member of Alton Church of God in Mayo, FL He owned and operated Powell Roofing for the past forty-four years, which is now Powell and Sons Roofing. And now the business will be taken over by his sons, Stewart and Adam Powell. he enjoyed fishing, walking on the beach, and boogie boarding, “he loved that,” and collecting guns and spending time with his family.

Wally is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years Vickie Powell, Mayo, FL two sons Stewart Russell Powell (Kaylee) Lake City, FL; Adam Wallace Powell (Ashlee) Mayo, FL one daughter Hudson Estelle Powell, Daytona Beach, FL; his seven grandchildren Ezekiel Adam Powell, Kingston Powell, Saint Powell, Halsee Powell, Swayzee Powell, Sunday Powell and Storee Powell.

A celebration of life for Mr. Wally Powell will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Alton Church of God, in Mayo, FL, with Pastor Jeremy Davis officiating.
