W. Scott Fuller, 91, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born on April 4, 1926 to the late Winfield Scott and Jean Fuller in Cambridge, Mass. Upon graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy on June 9, 1944 to support the war effort. He proudly served in the Pacific during WWII. Scott attended his last reunion of the USS Rogers (DD-876) in Chattanooga, Tennessee on June 25-28, 2017. He was honored as one of three surviving plank owners who attended.

Scott is survived by his loving companion of 14 years, Dorothy Hopson of Lake City, FL; his son; Douglas S. Fuller of Victorville, CA and daughter; Laura Fuller of Massachusetts and four grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. at Jacksonville National Cemetery with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund set up in his name with the SVL Veterans Club (501c3 charity) 9334 SVL Box, Victorville, CA 92395.
