Obituary

Virginia​ ​Lue​ ​Wade​ ​Ellis​ ​passed​ ​away​ ​on​ ​December​ ​​ ​25,​ ​​ ​2016​ ​at the age of 82.

Virginia​ ​was​ ​born​ ​in​ ​Plant​ ​City,​ ​Florida​ ​to​ ​the​ ​late​ ​Anna​ ​Edna​ ​and​ ​R.B​ ​Wade,​ ​also​ ​of​ ​Plant City.​ ​She​ ​resided​ ​in​ ​Lake​ ​City​ ​since​ ​the​ ​early​ ​60's,​ ​where​ ​she​ ​raised​ ​her​ ​family​ ​and​ ​worked alongside​ ​her​ ​husband,​ ​Alan​ ​Ellis,​ ​on​ ​their farm and later with​ ​their​ ​Pecan​ ​Orchard.​ ​Jenny was​ ​a​ ​devoted​ ​wife​ ​and​ ​mother​ ​of​ ​four​ ​children.​ ​She​ ​was​ ​a​ ​wonderful​ ​seamstress​ ​and loved​ ​sewing​ ​clothes​ ​and​ ​costumes​ ​for​ ​her​ ​granddaughters.​ ​They​ ​were​ ​never​ ​without​ ​a​ ​new Easter​ ​dress​ ​made​ ​from​ ​Grandma.​ ​Jenny​ ​also​ ​loved​ ​to​ ​play​ ​the​ ​piano​ ​and​ ​organ, something​ ​she​ ​learned​ ​at​ ​an​ ​early​ ​age​ ​and​ ​a​ ​talent​ ​she​ ​inherited​ ​from​ ​her​ ​mother.​ ​She​ ​was a​ ​strong​ ​Christian​ ​and​ ​an​ ​active​ ​member​ ​of​ ​Southside​ ​Baptist​ ​Church.​ ​She​ ​will​ ​be​ ​dearly missed,​ ​until​ ​we​ ​meet​ ​again. Virginia​ ​was​ ​preceded​ ​in​ ​death​ ​by​ ​her​ ​husband​ ​of​ ​59​ ​years,​ ​Alan​ ​Ellis​ ​Sr. and​ ​her​ ​sister Beverly​ ​Anne​ ​Murray.​ ​

She​ ​is​ ​survived​ ​by​ ​her​ ​sister​ ​Bettye​ ​Bryant​ ​of​ ​Plant​ ​City;​ ​son,​ ​Ashley Jr.​ ​(Karen)​ ​Ellis​ ​of​ ​Lake​ ​City,​ ​FL;​ ​daughters,​ ​Deborah​ ​(Jim)​ ​Stephenson​ ​of​ ​Plant​ ​City,​ ​FL, Donna​ ​Ellis​ ​of​ ​Colorado​ ​Springs,​ ​CO​ ​and​ ​Jennifer​ ​(Bruce)​ ​Staten​ ​of​ ​Lake​ ​City,​ ​FL;​ ​six grandchildren,​ ​Bubba,​ ​Chris,​ ​and​ ​John​ ​Ellis,​ ​Tiffany​ ​Waters,​ ​Madison​ ​and​ ​Megan​ ​Staten; numerous great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral​ ​services​ ​will​ ​be​ ​conducted​ ​on​ ​Thursday,​ ​December​ ​29,​ ​2016​ ​at​ ​11:00​ ​a.m.,

at​ ​Southside​ ​Baptist​ ​Church​ ​with​ ​Dr.​ ​Ralph​ ​Rodriguez​ officiating.​ ​Interment​ ​will​ ​follow​ ​in Fellowship​ ​Baptist​ ​Church​ ​Cemetery​ ​in​ ​Wellborn,​ ​FL.​​ ​Visitation​ ​with​ ​the​ ​family​ ​will​ ​be​ ​held​ ​one​ ​hour​ ​prior​ ​to​ ​service​ ​time​ ​(10:00​ ​a.m. until​ ​11:00​ ​a.m.)​ ​at​ ​the​ ​church.​ ​In​ ​Lieu​ ​of​ ​flowers​ ​donations​ ​may​ ​be​ ​made​ ​to​ ​Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley​ ​Care​ ​Center​, 6037​ ​​ ​W.​ ​US​ ​Hwy 90,​ ​Lake​ ​City,​ ​FL​ ​32055.
