Virginia Page Drosche, 91, of Lake City, FL, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014. She was born in April 16, 1923 in Lexington, KY and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Seaman 1st class and was discharged in October 1944. She attended the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville. She received her Bachelors degree from Catherine Spaulding University in Louisville, KY and her Masters Degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She taught Elementary School in Jefferson County, KY for over 40 years. She was an avid Florida Gator and Kentucky Wildcat fan.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and will be remembered as a kind, generous, thoughtful person.
She is preceded in death by her son, Bill Drosche and survived by her daughter, Carolyn Brown and sons, Glenn Drosche (Sharon) and John Drosche. 4 Grandchildren, Ashley Delaney Mitchell (Scott), Darcy Delaney Albury (Eston III), Tonya Drosche Fessel (Andy) and Troy Drosche (Jenn) and 12 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Her memorial service will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2 P.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 S. US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL 32025 (386-752-1954).
