Virginia Dorothy Brown, 90, of Fernandina Beach, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 19, 2021 after a very full life. She was born in Union, New Jersey on November 7, 1930 to the late George Schaffer and Edith Cannon Schaffer. She has lived in the Fernandina Beach area for over ten years and was a Mom and Homemaker all of her life. She was of the Presbyterian faith and in her spare time, she enjoyed counted cross stitching and cooking. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Ernest Brown and her son, Stephen Brown.

She is survived by her son, David Brown of Jacksonville and her grandson, Dylan Brown of Marathon.

Private memorial services for Mrs. Brown will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to the Oak Grove Baptist Church General Fund, 1007 NE Needmore Rd, White Springs, FL 32096.
