Virgie Deanna Carter Breeden, 45, of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday morning, February 7, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born in Goldsboro, NC on November 11, 1978 and has lived most of her life in Lake City. She was a 1998 CHS graduate and obtained her nursing degree in Steubenville, Ohio from Trinity Medical School. In her spare time, she enjoyed art work, painting, writing poetry and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Mary E. Hill and Buck Hill of Lake City; her father and step mother, Claude Allen Carter, Sr. and Judy Carter of Hawthorne; husband, Scott Charles Breeden of Birmingham, AL; sons, Damien Carter and Dylan Breeden both of Birmingham, AL; step daughter, Rebecca Strickland of Birmingham, AL and brother, Clay Carter of Lake City. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Breeden will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ron Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday evening, February 9, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
