Versie Stella Dancy, 81, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Homerville, Georgia on August 21, 1939 to the late Robert Ernest Blanks and Mary Easter Jordan Blanks. She has made Lake City her home most of her life and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noah Dancy; brothers, Vernon and Oedis Blanks (Polly); and her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Klaus Merker; and brother-in-law, Bobby Jones.

She is survived by her nephew, Steve (Becky) Dancy of Live Oak; sister, Vivian Jones of Cairo, GA and brother, Marion "Butch" Blanks of Lake City. Many nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends also survive.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Mike Tatem officiating. Interment will follow.
