On Saturday February 13, 2021, Nelda, loving mother, passed away peacefully at Haven Hospice, Lake City, Florida. Nelda was born January 11, 1939, in Suwannee County, Florida; the daughter of James Broughton and Vernie Melvina (Touchton) Hudson. She was 82 years old.  Nelda spent her childhood growing up in the Brandford, Florida area and was a member of the Fort White Church of God. She worked for a number of years in the cafeteria at Suwannee High where she retired in 2004. She loved her church and was always willing to play the piano when needed. She also loved her accordion, but most of all she loved her Lord.

She leaves behind one daughter, Hilda Forthofer (Mark), two brothers, Asa Hudson (Virginia), and Edmund Hudson (Patty), four step-daughters, Susan Coleman Fennell (Carlton), Mary Coleman Singleton (Freddie), Susan Wilkinson Lewis, Debbie Wilkinson, one step-son Mark Wilkinson (Pam), 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Theron Ernest Coleman and Irving Lewis Wilkinson (Sonny), both from Suwannee County, Florida, brother Montague Hudson, Fort White, Florida, and step-son Mike Wilkinson.
