Tony V. Harper, 66, passed away on February 21, 2016 with his family by his side in Gainesville, Florida. Tony was born December 6, 1949 in Jacksonville. After graduating from Clewiston High School in 1968, he attended Florida Atlantic University, where he earned a degree in Criminology and Psychology.

Tony began working as a probation officer for the Florida Department of Corrections in 1973. After 35 years of dedicated service, he retired as the Department's Regional Director of North Florida on October 31, 2008.

Tony is survived by his wife, Becky; their two children, Tony and Michelle; son-in-law, Jason; daughter-in-law, Melissa; his four grandchildren: Carter, Carsyn, Chandler, and Kimberly; as well as other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Tony's honor at Parkview Baptist Church in Lake City, FL on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jason Paugh officiating.
