Toby Nicholas (Nick) Jones was born December 27, 1971, in Gainesville, FL to Ron and Lana (Barager) Jones.

Toby passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He was a life-long resident of Lake City and was a 1989 graduate of Columbia High School. Toby worked with United Rentals (20+ years), was an accomplished auctioneer, marine mechanic, former restaurant owner, as well as a self-employed entrepreneur – with 'Patriot Treats' being the latest venture.

Toby spent the last twenty five years with his wife, Angela - recently celebrating their 'silver' wedding anniversary. She and his two daughters (Casey and Kylee) were his number one priority and main focus in life. Toby was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, boat, camp, cook/grill and spend time at the family home on the Ichetucknee River. He was a huge supporter of this country and proudly served in the US Coast Guard.

Toby was always the 'life of the party' and one of the funniest guys you could ever meet! He, his humor and witty comebacks will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Angela (Lumbert) Jones of Lake City and his daughters, Casey and Kylee Jones of Lake City; his father and mother, Ron and Lana Jones of Lake City; his sister, Andrea (Jones) Downs of St. Augustine; and his niece, Rhegan Shiver of St. Augustine. As well as aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Lucile Barager of Lake City and his paternal grandparents, Major D. and Ruby Jones of Eustis.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date
