Timothy "Tim" Paul Yates, Jr., 33, of Maxville, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on April 29, 1989 and grew up in the Lake City area, but spent most of his life in the Jacksonville area. He was currently employed as a Mechanic with Muffler Man; and in his spare time, he enjoyed working on old cars and vehicles as well as going on the boat and camping. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Elizabeth Morrell Yates.

He is survived by his Father, Timothy "Timmy" Paul Yates, Sr. (Jannie) of Lake City; Fiancé, Vikki Jones of Maxville; son, Timothy Paul Yates, III of Maxville; Adopted Dad, Scott Keeler (Jennifer) of Maxville; his Brothers, Thomas Yates of Lake City & Ryan Jerome of Maxville and his Sisters, Tracy Yates of Jacksonville & Emily Yates of Lake City. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service for Tim will be conducted on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Carl Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday evening, October 3, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
