Mr. Timothy Willard Tyler, 87 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015. He was born in Gainesville, FL on October 31, 1927 to the late Louis W. Tyler and Florence Dyal Tyler. During World War II, Mr. Tyler served with the Army 2nd Infantry Division. After the war he made his home in Sacramento, CA where he met and married his wife, Mary Maxine Tyler, in 1948. In 1962 he moved his family to Gainesville where he opened his construction business. Mr. Tyler was an active airplane pilot and a member of the Amateur Radio League. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Maxine Tyler in 2010 and two brothers, Larry C. Tyler in 1971 and Ernes W. Tyler in 1999.
Survivors include his soulmate, Eve Kite, Lake City; two daughters, Brenda C. Tyler and Shirley Ann Tyler both of Gainesville; two granddaughters, Diane (Niki) Barco and Denice (Bobby) Arehart; one grandson, Ray (Michelle) Robertson; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Shelby; and one niece, Cheryl Tune, Auburn, CA.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at Fairbanks Cemetery in Gainesville, FL. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7:00 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
