Timothy Leo Martin, 59, of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 after a sudden illness. He was born in Dallas, Texas on August 13, 1962 to the late John and Louise Lucas Martin. He has made Lake City his home for the last 28 years and was a Truck Driver by trade, working for Auto Transport for 12 years and then for BLC for the last 3 years. He was a member of Gospel Chapel in Texas and in his spare time, he loved to fish, going fishing with his boys, hunting and had recently started getting into cruising. He is preceded in death by two siblings, Margaret Martin Hunter and Bruce Key.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marie Martin Depoe; sons, Timothy Martin, Jr. (Kelly), Shawn Martinez, Kurt Martinez, Darian Martin, Robert Martin and Christopher Martin; grandchildren, Bradley Kessel, Kaylynna Wright, Aidan Costello, Kolbie Costello, Vincent Costello and Shawn Martinez, Jr.; siblings, John Wesley Martin, Jessie Martin, Johnny Martin, Lois Martin, Jack C. Key, Carolyn Key, Darlene Lair, Arnold Key and Mataline Hall also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Martin will be conducted on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
