Theodore Roosevelt Turner, 88, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday afternoon, August 19, 2021 at the Lake City Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Ft. Myers, FL on April 6, 1933 to the late John and Willie Mae Miller Turner. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, who served in the Korean Conflict and retired after 20 years of honorable service. He then worked for Lee County in Road Maintenance for 16 years before retiring from there. He and his wife have made Lake City there home since 2004 and are members of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in the yard, fishing and being with his family. He is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jacquelyn Turner of Lake City; son, Ted Alan Turner (Melissa) of Clermont, FL and daughter, Terrie M. McCormack of Lake City. Four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Turner will be conducted on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Hall officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. before the service at the church. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, masks are encouraged as well as following CDC guidelines regarding social distancing, etc.
