Mr. Terry Wayne Rittman, 69 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Malcolm Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville.  He was born the middle child of three to the late Otis and Mary Lou Rittman.  Mr. Rittman had made his home in Lake City since 2012 having previously lived in Starke for many years.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired with almost 30 years of service with the Florida Department of Corrections retiring as the Maintenance and Construction Superintendent at the New River Correction Facility East and West.  Mr. Rittman enjoyed woodworking and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Faye Rittman in 2013.

Survivors include his sons, Britt Rittman, Lake City and Matthew Rittman, Starke; one granddaughter, Rilie Rittman, Lake City; two brothers, Otis Eugene Rittman (Judy), Concordia, MO and Randy Rittman (Penny), Knobnoster, MO; sisters in law, Gail Mizzel, Lake City and Karen Sauls (Billy), Lake City; and brothers in law, Andrew Jarrard (Penny), Jacksonville and Mark Jarrard (Lesley), Lake City.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Bowen, officiating.  Interment with military honors rendered by the United States Navy will follow.
