Mr. T. Michael O'Connell, 66, of Lake City, Florida, formerly of Hyde Park, MA and Margate, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.  "You are my Hero".  He was born February 21, 1950 in Hyde Park, Massachusetts to the late Lourain Healey O'Connell and Thomas O'Connell.  He moved to Margate, Florida in 1990 and relocated to Lake City in 2002 where he worked for Rountree-Moore Toyota until his retirement in 2009.  He was preceded in death by a special uncle, Paul H. Healey and brother-in-law, Kevin O'Rourke.  Michael loved his family, gardening and golf!

Devoted and loving husband to Janet Pinto O'Connell; cherished father to Kristen (David) Bullock of Brockton, MA, Sean (Marykate) O'Connell of Naples, FL and Michele (Graham) Smith of Taunton, MA; stepdaughters, Jeana (Patrick) Maruggi of Wappingers Falls, NY and Julianne Pinto of Wappingers Falls, NY; devoted brother of Dian McMillan of Margate, FL, Paula O'Rourke of Naples, FL, Mark (Lori) O'Connell of Easton, MA; loving "Papa" to 6 grandchildren, Brendan Bullock, Emily Bullock, Sarah Bullock, Lauren Smith, Sean Smith, Caitlin Smith and 2 step-grandchildren, Dominick and Victoria Maruggi.  He also leaves to cherish his memories, a very devoted friend, Tom Roberts of Naples, FL; sisters-in-law, Eileen Niles of Plantation, FL and Geri (Mike) Vasely of Hopewell Junction, NY and a host of loving relatives and friends.

A funeral mass for Mr. O'Connell will be conducted at Epiphany Catholic Church, 1905 SW Epiphany Ct., Lake City on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Father Michael Pendergraft officiating.  A visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 PM with a Rosary Service starting at 5:30 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
