Ms. Sylvia Kay Dampier Snell, 76, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice) following an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late John Marion and Vera Kathryn Keen Dampier and is preceded in death by one brother JM Dampier and three sisters Ann Read, Dolly Dobbs, and Edith Myer. Ms. Sylvia was a lifelong resident of Columbia County and was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church she enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchild.

Ms. Sylvia is survived by her two daughters Sylvia Diane Stalnaker (Rebecca Parrish) Lake City, FL, and Melissa Kay Cribbs, Debuke, Iowa, one brother Calvin Dampier (Janet) Lake City, FL. seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be conducted Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Reverend Hugh Dampier officiating. the family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
