Mr. Steven Paul Hayes, 02/ 03/1968 – 05/25/2024

Steven was born in El Centro, CA., and lived there until age 9 when he, his mom, and brother moved to Santee, CA. At the age of 17, Steven enlisted in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne. He got his GED but after two years decided that "Jumping out of airplanes" was not for him. He then settled first in Alpharetta, GA; then West Palm Beach, FL; then finally in Lake City in 2006. His entire life Steven was surrounded by a large and loving family extending from coast to coast. In January of 2020, Steven renewed his Catholic Faith by adult Confirmation and has been a faithful parishioner of Epiphany Catholic Church here in Lake City. He loved both the church and the school, and the family suggest in lieu of flowers a donation either to Epiphany Catholic Church or Epiphany Catholic School.

Steven is survived by his mother Joanne Salinero Hayes, Lake City, FL, and his father Paul Hayes, Alpharetta, GA. His brother and sister–in–law Wesley and Donna Hayes, Okinawa, Japan, and an extended and loving family.

A memorial service for Steven is scheduled for June 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Epiphany Catholic Church.
