Stephen James LaCorte, 20, of Fort White, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 17, 2023. He was born in Durham, North Carolina on April 21, 2002. He lived most of his life in the Durham area, recently moving with his family to Fort White a little over 2 years ago. He was an Entrepreneur, owning his own business, The Backwave and just recently earning his Insurance License with the State of Florida. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, being outside & enjoying nature, rescuing animals and going to the river. He was more especially a people person, and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Melvin Mock; and his Paternal Grandfather, George LaCorte.

He is survived by his Mother and Father, Kathi & James LaCorte; Maternal Grandmother, Mary Mock; Paternal Grandmother, Jill LaCorte; and his sisters, Chloe LaCorte, Caitlyn Doctor and Jazmine Holt. Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended family and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service for Stephen will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with his Uncle Drew Mock officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
