Stanley Plato Kirby, Jr., 77, of Lake City, FL, passing away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born in Madison County, FL to the late Stanley Plato Kirby, Sr. and Edna Gaylord Kirby. He had resided in Lake City for the past 5 years, after returning from Vero Beach, FL where he had raised his family. He had retired as a General Manager from the Agricultural Division /Real Estate Investment Department of the The Travelers Companies. He enjoyed farming, ranching, hunting, fishing, was of the Baptist faith and was devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Beneta Tyson Kirby, in 2010.
