Sonya Jean Ostendorf, 87 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at the Solaris HealthCare of Lake City.  She was born in Burlington, Iowa to the late Roy H. and Beulah G. Ames.  Mrs. Ostendorf married her late husband of 55 years, Francis "Bud" Ostendorf, on January 27, 1954.  She enjoyed bowling, reading, playing cards, watching NASCAR and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Ostendorf was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frances "Bud" Ostendorf and two sons, James and Thomas Ostendorf.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Ostendorf (Terri) and Garry Ostendorf (Kay) both of Lake City; two daughters, Linda Williams (Ray), Lake City and Carol Scott, Live Oak; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ostendorf will be conducted on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Old Providence Baptist Cemetery.  Interment will follow.
