Shirley J. Munoz, age 81 of Lake City, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023.  She was born August 24, 1941 in Bradford County, Florida to the late Grover Aldridge and Annie Aldridge. Shirley attended Columbia High School until 1958.  She lived and worked in Gainesville, Florida until 1976 when she moved to California.  There, she married the love of her life Martin "Marty" C. Munoz on December 31, 1993.  They lived in California and Oregon before returning to Lake City in 2002. She attended church at Christ Central and worked for Roundtree-Moore Ford and Roundtree-Moore Toyota.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Martin Munoz, Lake City; her sister Joyce Crawford-Spencer (Gordon Spencer), her children Randal "Randy" Roberts (Maria Roberts) of Lake City, Jeffrey "Jeff" Blundell (Georgie Blundell) of Alachua and Cynthia "Cindy" Blundell-Akin (Chip Akin) of West Melbourne; step sons, Marty Munoz (Debbie), Sunderland, VT and Greg Munoz, Hartsville, SC; step daughter, Wendy Tidwell (John), Ventura, CA; brother-in-law, Jess Munoz (Anita), LaGrande, OR; sisters-in-law, Doreen Menerey (Chuck), Oxnard, CA and Debbie Gibbs (Josh), Hillsboro, IL; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Roberts (Rachel), Justin Roberts, Jennifer Harrington, Steven Blundell (Emily), Brandon Blundell (Lauren), Kyle Blundell, Christen Akin and Colton Akin; 14 great grandchildren, Ella and Lawson Roberts, Jayzen, Sadie, Myla, Faith, and Ryder Roberts, Sara and Chloe Harrington, Logan and Natalie Blundell, Zachary, Jacob and Caleb Blundell. Step-grandchildren, Stephanie Wells, Sunderland, VT, Rachel Munoz, Sunderland, VT, Sarah Wiley (Caleb), Sunderland, VT, Gillian Munoz, Charlotte, NC and Brandon Munoz, Charlotte, NC, Evan Tidwell, Ventura, CA and Connor Tidwell, Ventura, CA. Step-great-grandchildren include Abby Wells and Emma Wells, Sunderland, VT, Gracie Munoz, Milo Munoz, and Nora Munoz, Sunderland, VT, Dean Munoz and Wesley Munoz, Sunderland, VT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Leonard Aldridge, and her sisters Clara "Doll" Williams, Irene Anderson, Ruth Veasey, and Nella Mae McGee, and brother-in-law, Donald Munoz.

Shirley enjoyed entertaining family and friends whom she loved dearly and volunteering at charity events.  She loved to craft, and above all – she loved to dance.

Funeral services for Mrs. Munoz will be conducted on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway – Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, April 21, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home
