Shirley Sevena McLendon, 72, of Lake City died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at her residence.
Born December 17, 1938 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Wilfred Jason Barrs and Rosalee Barrs, her family was her life, and she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-six years John T. McLendon of Lake City, three daughters; Vickie Moore and husband James of Madison, Ga, Tammy Kelly and husband Thomas of Madison, Fl., Jill Wilkinson of Lake City, one brother; George Suggs of Labelle, Fl., one sister; Sally Sheldon and husband Eugene of Labelle, Fl., eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Randy McLendon.
A funeral service will be conducted for Shirley at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Gateway Lawn Forest Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00-2:00 P.M.
