Shirley Brock Amerson, 84, of Lake City, passed away on Friday morning, December 17, 2021 at the Lake City Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in North Carolina on July 27, 1937 to the late John and Alma Mae Lee Brock. She was a farmer most of her life, and also enjoyed being a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in the yard and shopping. She is preceded in death by her Three husbands, Thurman Vann, Baron Rushing and Thomas J. "Tom" Amerson; children, Frank, Sharon and Sheila Tyndall; and her siblings, Henry Brock, Roy Brock, Mary Stanley and Betty Jones.

She is survived by her siblings, Leonard Brock, Mildred West and Hilda Harvey (Henry). Two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

A funeral service for Mrs. Amerson will be conducted on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fred Gaylard, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
