Sharon Kay Saint, 74, of McAplin, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 8, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born in North Carolina on March 16, 1947 to the late Thomas and Gertrude Thacker. She has made the McAlpin area her home the last 26 years, having previously lived in the Old Town and Tampa area(s). She worked as a Retail Manager for Dollar General and in her spare time, she enjoyed working in her garden and gardening as well as cooking. She attended the Open Door Baptist Church when she lived in Tampa. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharald Wood and twelve siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Walter Wilkins (Joe), David Wood (Johalon), Jeffrey Wood and Joseph Saint (Tina); daughters, Celeste Saint and Cheryl Shetterly (Mark). Nine grandchildren, Renee Saint, Leslie Wise, Kristine Godwin, Sharon Saint, Victoria Saint, Jennifer Butler, Shelby Taylor, Tyler Shetterly and Walter Johnson; along with six great-grandchildren, Chandler, Matthew, Kodee, Gavin, C.J. and Mason also survive.

Services will be held at the Corinth Baptist Church, in Joppa, Alabama on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
