Sharolyn Kay Krieghauser

Sharolyn Kay Krieghauser, 58, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the HCA Florida – Lake City Hospital in Lake City after a sudden illness. She was born in Bartow, Florida on October 20, 1967 to the late Evelyn Jane Pond Nichols and Leroy “Bill” Nichols. She has made Lake City her home since 1970 and worked for the Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer with Columbia Correctional and Baker Correctional before retiring. She was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 893 as well as the Lake City Jeep Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Brandi Krieghauser Jackson and her nephew, Nicholas Sheffield; and her husband, Robert White.

She is survived by her son, Sean Krieghauser (Jamie) of Lake City, grandchildren, Ava Jackson, Emily Krieghauser, Alivia Jackson, Evan Krieghauser, Ethan Krieghauser and Ariella Krieghauser all of Lake City; sister, Mary Ann Nichols Sellers of Lakeland; and her niece and nephew, Cameron Nichols and Laney Nichols-Sellers. She is also survived by her life-long friends, Cindy Denmark (Keith), Rhonda Feezell (Ron) and Tawnya Green all of Lake City along with many more friends and family members.

A memorial service for Mrs. Krieghauser will be conducted on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
