Shane Jay Boone, 23 of Lake City, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 28, 2021.  He was born in Gainesville, Florida on February 18, 1998.  He has lived most of his life in Lake City, Florida.  He was a roofer by trade.  In his spare time he enjoyed being a father, fishing and going to the beach.  Shane was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Stamper.

Shane leaves behind many loved ones including but certainly not limited to his father, Shawn Boone, Merritt Island, FL; his mother, Shannon Dyal (Danny), Ft. White, FL; girlfriend, Kaitlyn Hobby, Lake City, FL; step-daughter, Kylie Hobby, Lake City, FL; step mother, Tara (Boone) Townsend, Lake City, FL; grandparents, Leon Wilson, Mims, FL, Linda Wilson, Mims, FL, Patricia Stamper, Titusville, FL, Diane Coker, Lake City, FL; brothers, Sebastian Boone, Titusville, FL, Ryan Collins (Alexis) and Skyler Boone both of Lake City, FL and Jude Boone, Brantley Boone, Micah Bussey all of Mayo, FL; sisters, Shawna Boone, Ft. White, FL, Kaila Stamper, Bloomington, IN and Keira Land, Mayo, FL; and numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of Shane's life will be conducted on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Travis Buchanan and Pastor Kevin Wright officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. (one hour prior to the services) at the funeral home.
