Sean Christopher Smith, Sr.

Sean Christopher Smith, Sr., 47, of Lake City, passed away at the HCA Florida – North Florida Hospital on Monday morning, June 8, 2026 after a sudden illness. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on August 1, 1978 and has made Lake City his home for over the last eighteen years. He worked in the Construction Field and was also attending Christ Central in Live Oak. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, being on the water, listening to music and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Wendell Arthur Smith; and his brother, Billy Pizarroz.

He is survived by his two sons, Sean Smith, Jr. and Jacob Smith; daughter, Kaily Phillips; brother, Steven Pizarroz and his sister, Jennie Smith (Michael). Three grandchildren, Colton Smith, Lylah Little and Lenox Little also survive.

A funeral service for Sean will be conducted on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
