Sandra Kay "Sandy" Wilson

Sandra Kay “Sandy” Wilson, 73 of Fort White, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at her home in Fort White. She was born in Downey, California, the only child, to the late John and Catherine Holder. Mrs. Wilson was raised in Bellflower, California and was a graduate of Bellflower High School. She continued her education and graduated from Cerrito College in California in 1973 and became a licensed cosmetologist. Mrs. Wilson had made her home in Fort White for the past 40 years and worked along side her husband, Russell Wilson, and was his helpful help mate in many ways on the family farm. She was a longtime member of Elim Baptist Church where she was currently teaching Sunday School and was very active when her health permitted. Mrs. Wilson prepared the bulletins at the church for 27 years and only missed 2 Sunday’s because of a power outage. She loved watching Florida Gator Football and attending the games, and going on lunch dates with her family and friends. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Holder.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Russell Wilson of Fort White; her three sisters-in-law, Judy, Sonya and Martha; her three step sisters, Linda, Lee and June and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Elim Baptist Church in Fort White with Rev. Brian Kline officiating. Entombment will follow at a later date at Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach, California. A time of visitation with the family will be Thursday evening, September 17, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
