Sally Freeman Beach, 76 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Lake City Medical Center in Lake City.  She was born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late John Edward Freeman and Doris Aileen Hill Freeman.  Mrs. Beach was raised in Palm Beach County, Florida and was a graduate of Lake Worth High School class of 1965.  She furthered her education at Florida Atlantic University earning her Bachelor Degree in Nursing in 1989.  Mrs. Beach worked for many years at J.F.K. Medical Center in Palm Beach County as a charge nurse in the emergency room and also in critical care.  After moving to Lake City in 2006, she continued her work as a registered nurse with Lake City Medical Center.  She was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of the Lake City Church of Christ.  Mrs. Beach enjoyed walking, spending time with her family and being involved in local politics and previously served as President of Right to Life in Palm Beach County and was a member of the Columbia County Republican Party.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, James A. "Jim" Beach, Lake City; her children, Jennifer Barry (Warren), Newberry, John Beach (Libia), Ponte Vedra and James Michael Beach, San Francisco, CA; one sister, Penny Duthie (Dave), Grant, FL; cousin, Mary Jo Adams, Brevard, NC; and six grandchildren, Devin Barry and Autumn Barry both of Newberry, James Ramon "JR" Beach, Sydney Beach, Trevor Beach and Julianna Beach all of Ponte Vedra.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beach will be conducted on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Minister TJ Gifford officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service in the Chapel from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
