Mr. Roy B. Bedenbaugh, 86, of Lake City died Friday, October 06, 2017 at the Lake City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. A native and lifelong resident of Lake City, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Hadden Bedenbaugh. He was a graduate of the Columbia High School Class of 1948, a US Army Veteran, and retired from Florida Power and Light after 37 years of service. Roy enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball and his granddaughters  play softball, gardening, watching old movies and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jeanna Marie in 1964.

Mr. Bedenbaugh is survived by his wife of 61 years, Esta Mae Bedenbaugh; sons, David Bedenbaugh (Jennifer) and Steve Bedenbaugh (Wendy); grandchildren, Lucas, Logan, Allison, and Landyn Bedenbaugh, all of Lake City; brother, Jerry Bedenbaugh (Toby) of Palatka, FL; sister, Lena Burnsed of Lake City; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Bedenbaugh will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 9, 2017 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church (General Fund), 4843 S. US HWY 441, Lake City, FL 32025.
