Rosemary Carraway Coleman

Rosemary Carraway Coleman, 82, of Lake City passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Solaris in Lake City. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Sidney Fletcher and Joyce Foy Carraway, and had lived in Lake City since 1981. Rosemary was a Past President of the Decatur, Georgia Woman’s Club, Past President of the Lake City Garden Club, and a beloved and great supporter of the Lake City Elks Lodge BPOE #893. She was always involved with her children in their sports and many activities such as girls scouts and cheerleading. Rosemary was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter Mary Helen Veal (Paul Ficarrotta); her son Jay Veal (Robin) and sister Sandra Foreman; grandchildren Alexis and Jessica Veal, Alex, Brannon, and Caleb Owens; great-grandchildren, Vanna, Rosie, and Mikey; companion Jim O’Leary.

Memorial services for Rosemary Coleman will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Mike Williams, Celebrant. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday evening, April 14, 2026 from 5:00- 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake City Elks Lodge, P.O.
