Rose A. McClure, 92 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 at The Canopy at Harper Lake Assisted Living Facility in Lake City.  She was born in Bogota, Colombia to the late Luis Rojas and Abela Vargas.  Mrs. McClure came to the United States in the early 1950's and had made her home in Lake City since 2001 having previously lived in New York, Miami, Hollywood and Brooksville, Florida.  She was of the Presbyterian faith and loved gardening, animals and nature.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years and love of her life, Tom Nelson McClure; her step daughter, Lynda Wright; and one step son, David McClure.

Survivors include her two step sons, Dennis McClure, McAlpin and Donald McClure (Nikki), Naples; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Nanette Childs and Mariana Hornan.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Eastside Village Community Center on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
