Mr. Ronald Otis Travis, 75, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Dayton and Cleve Doss Travis, and is preceded in death by his brother Dennis Travis. Mr. Ronald had made Ft. White his home since 1985 after moving here from New Orleans. He worked as an electrician for twenty-plus years with the Union. He was a member of the IBEW 1205 and was an avid Florida Gator fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, golfing, spending time with his family, listening to Pink Floyd, watching a bonfire, and setting off fireworks.

Mr. Ronald is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years of marriage Sybil "Chris" Travis, Ft. White, FL; his daughter Dana Smith (Curt) Fulton, MO; one brother Boyd Travis, Plant City, FL; a sister-in-law Susan Travis, Zephyrhills, FL; his two brothers-in-law Richard Harsch, Covington, LA, and William Harsch, New Orleans, LA, his granddaughter Jordan Grooms, Columbia, MO, and his nephew Dale Travis (Nicole) Seffner, FL.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City, with Pastor Drue Thompson officiating. Interment will follow immediately following the graveside service.
