Ronald "Ronnie" Alan Masters

Mr. Ronald Alan “Ronnie” Masters, 75, of Lake City passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at his residence. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of the late Leonard and Gloria Brandeberry Masters and had lived in Lake City for most of his life. A graduate of Columbia High School in 1969, Ronnie joined the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and later worked for the Florida Highway Patrol as an Auxiliary Trooper. He also worked at the family business, Leonard’s Frame Service before starting his own business Patron Automotive. Later Ronnie got his Real Estate License where he was a Broker/Realtor/Owner, and Property Appraiser for 36 years. Ronnie was a 3rd degree black belt and Assistant Instructor in Martial Arts, Scuba Cave Diver, and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He liked fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, traveling, but most of all he loved being a grandfather. Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother Michael Masters.

Ronnie is survived by his sons, Chris Masters (Candace) and Ronald Masters, II; daughter, Lisa Ann Masters; grandchildren, Ayden, Aybree, Sophie, Artemus, Petrus, and Freyys Masters; brother, Vernon Masters, Sr.(Cindee); companion of many years, Bonita Hadwin; “Daughter of the heart”, Courtney Bryan; many nieces and nephews and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Ronnie will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Burl Harkey officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00-3:00 P.M. (one hour before service) at the funeral home.
