Romona Gail Pitts, 80 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Lake City Medical Center.  She was born and raised in Jacksonville to the late Raymond A. Parkin and Nancy Dykes Parkin.  Mrs. Pitts had made her home in Lake City since 1964.  She loved God, was of the Christian faith and a member of the First Christian Church of Lake City.  Mrs. Pitts never met a stranger.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Tommy Pitts; her children, Tommy Dale Pitts, Nancy Moates (Curtis), Gary Pitts and Cody Pitts (Misty) all of Lake City; her brother, Vance Parkin (Kaye), Doniphan, MO; nine grandchildren, Dillon Pitts (Shanna), Courtney Brown (Derik), Austin "Reed" Pitts, Brittany Steed, Lindsey Moates-Petty (Robert), Heather Pitts,  Taylor Beach (Jake), Makayla Bacon (Austin) and Farrah Baldwin; eight great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pitts will be conducted on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Minister Douglas Allen.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
