Rev. Roger A. Siter, age 76, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2023 at the Haven Hospice – E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville after a brief illness. He was born in Hudson, NY on June 13, 1946 to the late Charles Miller Siter and Catherine Falkner Siter. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and has made the Lake City area his home for the last 30 years, moving here from the Hawthorne/Gainesville, Florida area. He has been a Minister for the better part of 42 years, serving churches in Hawthorne and Lake City where he pastored Victory Assembly of God for nearly 30 years. He loved God, his family and fishing. He also enjoyed mowing, he insisted on mowing the church lawn; and he enjoyed making people smile and laugh. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 48 years, Patricia Siter and his sister, Gloria Siter.

He is survived by his sons, Tom Siter (Bridgett) of Salem, AL and John A. Siter (Lori) of Hawthorne, FL; daughter, Tricia L. Westland of Lake City; and his brothers, Charles Siter (Judy), Kenny Siter (Veronica) and Peter Siter all of Upstate, New York. Eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service for Rev. Siter will be conducted on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Raburn officiating, assisted by Pastor Danny Applewhite. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M prior to the service at the funeral home.
