Rodger Stanley Mena, 54, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born in Los Angeles, California on June 13, 1971, and has made Lake City his home since 1986. He was a member of the Hopeful Baptist Church of Lake City. Rodger was known as a quiet, sweet man that touched people's lives with his tender heart and spirit. His life's journey was as versatile as his talents. He truly was a jack of all trades from his early career working of the Chicago Stock Exchange, to his many years in sales of all kinds, including working in the family business and IT work. He approached every endeavor with curiosity, dedication and an open heart.

Beyond this, Rodger found his greatest joy in the simple beauty of nature. He loved birds and orchids. He will forever be remembered by his family and friends as a gentle, and kind spirited soul.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Gladys Menna of Lake City and José Mena (Elida Santiago) of Lake City; sister, Ninette Menna Chapman (Keith) of Franklin, TN; and his nieces, Alexis Farris (Jackson) of Bon Aqua, TN and Trinity Davis of Franklin, TN. Also, several aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Mena will be conducted on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Dr. Billy Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
